Data collection

App Store Switcher (Web, Mobile, and Extension) does not collect any personal information, browsing history, analytics, or telemetry.

By tool

Web Tool: Static website with no cookies, tracking, or data collection. Simply redirects to App Store URLs.

Mobile Tool: Client-side only. Uses device detection and iTunes URL scheme. No data sent to servers.

Chrome Extension: Operates entirely within your browser. Uses minimal permissions and local storage only.

Extension permissions

storage – used only to save your theme and UI state (e.g., dark mode, sidebar collapsed).
Host access https://apps.apple.com/* – required so the content script can modify the URL on App Store pages you visit.

What's stored

Extension: Theme preference and UI state stored locally via chrome.storage.sync.
Web & Mobile: No persistent storage. Uses standard browser localStorage for UI preferences only.
No data leaves your device. No remote servers are contacted.

Analytics

The website uses Google Analytics (GA4) to track anonymous page views and usage patterns. This helps us understand which tools are most popular. No personally identifiable information is collected. You can opt-out using browser privacy extensions.

Children's privacy

Our tools are intended for general audiences and do not knowingly collect information from children.
